Thankfully there are economists now, united around the globe, who are finding their voice to question the Austerity regime that stems from the USA Corporate sector. The creation of money, how an economy works... these are the things we need to get our heads round.

One UK economist who has a shared interest in the NHS is Richard Murphy.
As he said in a recent blog:
"there is no reason why we should not have health care in thirty years time... All we have to do is decide we want it.
Then we can pay for it. It will not be a matter of not affording it. It’s just a matter of setting priorities."
You will see many calls for the NHS to be supported by a specific tax. You'll hear people say "I don't mind paying an extra penny in the pound".
This is - dare we say it - rubbish.
